Councils
To aid the association in achieving its Huge Goal, delineated in ACSA's Vision Statement, the committee structure was revamped changing 12 committees to councils. The 12 councils were created to obtain the best of two worlds - a united administrator association and unique representation for job-alikes. Councils will be ongoing and viable in terms of representing the job-alike group they serve.
Council members may be elected or appointed by region presidents - one council member per region. Each council will elect its council president and have a vote on the Legislative Policy Committee. Councils will create their own bylaws that will be consistent with ACSA bylaws and ratified by the Board of Directors. The councils are effective July 1, 2004:
