Leading the Leaders is a professional learning program designed to assist first and second year superintendents as they enter a new phase of their public school career. The cohort works together for one year. They attend four workshops with topics built around the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs). Experienced and successful superintendents present all sessions.
In addition to meeting in a workshop setting, participants are contacted by e-mail and continuously updated on current issues in the state as well as resources that will assist them in their assignment. The goal is to create a continuous learning community. ACSA staff members are available to assist members of the cohort in a number of areas.
