The Executive Leadership Center (ELC) has been designed for and by California superintendents, and is held yearly in January prior to the Superintendents Symposium. A representative superintendent planning committee along with ACSA staff gathers input from superintendents around our state to determine the most pressing student academic and superintendent leadership issues. After gathering the information, the group then proceeds to design an institute program including curriculum that is based upon the decided theme/topic for the ELC institute.
Perhaps most important is the fact that the purpose of the ELC program is to enable superintendents to initiate and implement systemic change, as well as program quality improvement in their districts; changes that will allow for the provision of equal access to learning for all students. In addition, the sessions are designed to give superintendents tools and skills to initiate those conversations that will lead to maximum performance by staff, and academic achievement for all students.
Join us on 28-29 January 2014 in Monterey for one-on-one interaction with Dr. Andy Hargreaves.
Please note the change in information: It is not a requirement to register for Superintendents' Symposium to attend ELC. However, you must be registered for Superintendents' Symposium to be eligible for a scholarship.
