"Maintaining Calm in Era of Crisis"
Presented by ACSA/SEAC/TSS
in collaboration with CASBO, CCSESA and CSBA
Most California school districts have already implemented a few rounds of budget reductions. The education leaders across the state have worked hard to preserve vital programs and services for students and still maintain fiscal solvency of their LEAs. Since the state budget projections do not show any signs of recovery, it becomes increasingly obvious that all of the stakeholders, including employee groups, will need to work collaboratively to weather the storm.
With continuing reductions in state funding, the need for strategically planned and thoughtfully designed negotiations with the employee groups is of more vital importance than ever before.
These collective bargaining summit sessions are being offered to provide information about the challenges faced by the school districts in the current environment, proposed solutions and best practices, and other resources and tools that districts will find helpful.
The sessions are being offered at the following locations:
Tuesday, October 5 - Salinas (Monterey COE)
Wednesday, October 6 - Visalia (Visalia USD)
Tuesday, October 12 - Burbank (Burbank USD)
Wednesday, October 13 - Ventura (Ventura USD)
Monday, November 1 - Fontana (Fontana USD)
Tuesday, November 2 - Carlsbad (Carlsbad USD)
Monday, November 8 - Redding (Shasta UHSD)
Tuesday, November 9 - Sacramento (Natomas USD)
