The Walk In, created by George Manthey, is a tool for writing teacher observation reports. A one hour training in the use of this program can be provided at no charge along with group purchases of the WalkIn.

The box includes a CD-Rom, a USB memory drive and a 146-page user manual.

To use the The WalkIn™, follow these steps:
1) Take notes during the observation in any way that is comfortable and convenient for you.
2) Decide which elements of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession will be the focus of your report.
3) Open The WalkIn™ and click on the standard, element, and activities you observed. Select from reflective questions, suggestions, and effective ways to implement the element.
4) Create your report.

What people are saying about the The WalkIn™:
"I'm now able to spend more time in classrooms and less time in the office because The WalkIn™ makes observation report writing a cinch. Also, the information and feedback I give teachers is more powerful because I can back it up with research and give them selected research to read!"
- Loretta Houston, Principal, Riverside Unified School District
