Alternative Clear Credential Program (ACCP)

The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and the New Teacher Center at University of California-Santa Cruz (NTC) have partnered to offer an alternative program for the Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential. The Alternate Clear Credentialing Program (ACCP) provides two years of on-site individualized coaching by certified Leadership Coaches to novice school administrators. Driven by the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs), candidates create an individualized plan for demonstrating performance standards that will determine the focus for coaching. Successful candidates will receive their credential at the end of the two-year period.

CANDIDATES WILL:

  • Participate in two years of one-to-one coaching with a certified leadership coach
  • Receive 3-6 hours of coaching monthly at the candidate’s school site
  • Receive ongoing telephone and e-mail support from their leadership coach
  • Utilize documents on “My eCoach” for pre- and post-assessments and an individualized development plan
  • Document evidence of meeting CPSEL standards
  • Participate in at least two local New Administrator Institute Seminars each year
