ACSA’s Adult Education sessions will be incorporated with ACSA’s premier conference, the annual Leadership Summit, which will be held November 3-5, with a pre conference workshop for new Adult Ed administrators November 2. Adult Educators will be offered the powerful opportunity to participate as part of a larger learning and networking experience. Plan on attending through November 5 to maximize your conference experience this year. Veteran administrators and those new to adult education are invited to learn about timely topics including:

- 21st Century Skills: what skills are needed now that are different from 10 years ago, and how are those integrated into curriculum at every level?
- The Evolving Role of Adult Educators
- Advocacy & Local Legislators: Building Strong Relationships with Local Legislators; tips on how to connect and stay informed
- Prioritizing Adult Education within Districts
- Update on CDE Adult Ed Office Reorganization
- Guest speaker at the Adult Ed Conference will be Dr. Johan E. Uvin, Senior Policy Advisor to Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier of the US Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE).
Registrants of the Adult Education Conference Strands will have a unique opportunity to network with attendees of the Leadership Summit--superintendents and others in a variety of job alikes--to exchange ideas, discuss new resources to create and maintain programs, and to build capacity for the future. Included in the cost of your registration are joint General Sessions at the Leadership Summit, the Membership Reception, plus leadership sessions held after the conclusion of the Adult Education Strands on Friday, November 4 and Saturday November 5.
Pre Conference Session for New Administrators
Adult Education 101 has been updated and will again be offered to new and not-so-new adult education administrators on Wednesday, November 2. This full day training will help attendees discover the critical issues, timelines, and factors that ensure success for administrators of adult education.
