The Administrator Training Program is available to, and highly encouraged for, all school administrators, eg. principals and vice/assistant principals (full- or part-time), employed in public schools (kindergarten through grade twelve inclusive).
The program is required for school administrators of schools participating or involved in the:
- High Priority School Grant Program
- Reading First Grant Program
- School Assistance and Intervention Team (SAIT) process
The program is strongly recommended, and high priority is given to, school administrators assigned to, and working in:
- low performing schools, eg. schools in the bottom half of all schools based on the API rankings, or
- hard-to-staff schools, eg. schools in which 20 percent or more of the teaching staff hold emergency permits or credential waivers
