The major responsibilities of agencies (school districts, county offices of education, etc.) contracting with ACSA for AB 430 training include:
- Identifying a local AB 430 coordinator with whom ACSA will collaborate to provide the training
- Identifying who will be participating in AB 430 training. The training group may include participants from a single school district or from multiple schools districts in a region.
- Applying for AB 430 funding for eligible participants (only districts apply on behalf of their eligible participants)
- Providing a location for the training and making corresponding logistical arrangements
- Monitoring the attendance of participants including those needing to make-up missed sessions
- Supervising the Practicum for each participant
- Certifying the completion of all training requirements for each participant for each module
ACSA will collaborate closely with contracting agencies to support them in fulfilling these responsibilities.
