The ATP Tier II Administrative Credential Pathway Will Sunset June 30, 2013

The last cycle of the Administrator Training Program is July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2013. There will be no reauthorization of the ATP after the sunset date of June 30, 2013.

The timeline for completing all ATP training requirements and submitting ATP documentation to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) as part of the application materials for the CA Clear Administrative Services Credential (Tier II) is:

1. Begin the ATP with a State Board of Education approved training provider in Fall 2011.

2. Complete all training requirements for the ATP no later than June 30, 2013 (Modules 1, 2 and 3 for a total of 160 hours: 80 hours Institute plus 80 hours Practicum).

3. Apply to the CTC with all appropriate documentation and fees no later than March 1, 2014 (application, documentation of administrative experience, Certificate of Completion for each of Modules 1, 2 and 3, etc.).

NOTE: The CTC will not accept ATP Certificates of Completion for Tier II administrative credential applications after March 1, 2014.
