The ATP Tier II Administrative Credential Pathway Will Sunset June 30, 2013

The last cycle of the Administrator Training Program is July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2013. There will be no reauthorization of the ATP after the sunset date of June 30, 2013.

The following guidance is offered to assist prospective participants in understanding what is involved in completing the ATP to clear Tier II administrative services credential requirements before the Program sunsets.

Purpose of the Administrator Training Program

The Administrator Training Program (ATP), is the re-authorization of AB 430. The ATP provides funding to school districts and other local educational agencies (LEAs) to train principals and vice principals in the skills and knowledge necessary for their critical and complex roles as instructional leaders. This training addresses the leadership, infrastructure, and support for full implementation of effective instructional programs to improve student achievement.
