Members of ACSA’s Strategic Planning Team have been finalized. The diversity of the planning team mirrors the diversity of ACSA’s regions as well as school administrator job categories, years of service and other important demographics. The team was carefully selected to support the process of setting the association’s mission, beliefs and parameters of action for the future.
 
The group is composed of fewer than 30 members, which facilitator Bill Cook encourages for optimal collaboration. One quarter of the members on the Strategic Planning Team have not served in an ACSA leadership role. Participation of these members, along with those who have served in leadership roles, helps to ensure all members’ interests are reflected in the process.

The Planning Team will meet for a Strategic Thinking session with Bill Cook Sept 24-25. It is scheduled to meet again on Oct 20-22 to develop ACSA’s draft plan, including a mission, beliefs and parameters of strategic action.

The efforts of the Strategic Planning Team set the stage for the work of Action Teams that will begin later this fall. Hundreds of other ACSA members will be recruited to serve on Action Teams that will define elements for action according to the Strategic Plan.
