Got Homework? An ACSA Position Paper on Homework
The ACSA Board of Directors recently adopted a position paper on homework. The paper is intended to help administrators create policy, work with staff to implement best practices, dialogue with parents, conduct action research, and address challenges.
Initiative would reduce pension benefits
ACSA’s Board of Directors has officially opposed an initiative currently in circulation that would reduce the retirement benefits of public employees, including educators.
Administrator ranks need to be increased
ACSA participated in an Oct. 19 conference organized by EdSource at which individuals and organizations were invited to share education reform ideas in several areas. ACSA was represented by Michele Lawrence, superintendent of Berkeley USD and chair of the ACSA Superintendency Council’s subcommittee on Educational Excellence.
