Administrative credential stakeholder meeting set

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is currently in the process of reviewing the Administrative Services Credential. It will be holding a number of stakeholder input meetings in late September through October to gather information for the ASC writing panel, on which ACSA has representation.

Oct. 16 from 10:30 a.m. to noon a stakeholder meeting will be held at the CTC offices in Sacramento. Discussion will focus on the standards for earning a Preliminary Credential and for induction programs for the Clear Credential. ACSA is gathering a small group to attend and give feedback. It’s crucial to have the voice of the administrator heard, since other education stakeholder groups will have a large number of participants in the meeting.

Anyone wishing to participate in the ACSA group should contact ACSA CTC Liaison Sharon Robison prior to Sept. 28. She can be reached via email at robison9@ix.netcom.com. Once the participants in the ACSA group have been identified there will be a conference call and arrangements will be made to meet prior to the meeting.

If you are unable to participate in the ACSA group, you can view the broadcast and make comments via email. To register to attend the meeting electronically or in person, please go to www.surveymonkey.com/s/6B5FXQ2.
