Hearing from ACSA VP candidate Bob Noyes

The ACSA Delegate Assembly will have a chance to get to know Bob Noyes, the unopposed candidate for ACSA vice president, May 16 in Sacramento.

Noyes is a longtime state ACSA and Region 2 leader. He is assistant superintendent in Western Placer USD and currently serves state ACSA as his region’s representative on the Board of Directors. Following is his position statement:

“In such an ever-changing educational environment, how do we ensure a sustained, efficient and productive effort to meet the incredible challenges before us? Instead of fighting the impossible foe and becoming mired in countless tasks by yourself, be a part of the ACSA team.

“Our students continue to inspire us with their resiliency, as do our staffs and administrators that face formidable tasks each and every day. Someone once said, ‘Losers focus on their rights – leaders focus on their responsibilities.’ I am proud to lead with you.

“It has also been said that ‘Leaders are people who accept more of the blame and less of the credit.’ I support ACSA’s Huge Goal to be the ‘most influential, respected, student-focused and service-oriented educational association in existence.’ You must be a part of the plan to make a difference, to serve; to assist others in what we believe is a priceless gift – our educational system.

“I believe in leading with a team, organizational excellence, taking calculated risks and energizing ACSA from the charter level up. I feel I have the leadership experience to support ACSA in the elected role of vice president.”
