Job searches, event info, news on retooled Web site

Look for administrative jobs, get information on professional learning opportunities, and keep updated on the latest education news all on ACSA’s new and improved Web site.

Launched in late summer, ACSA’s new Web site has everything for the educational leader in one convenient place. One highlight is the new online Career Center. This free resource allows job seekers to create personalized accounts, post résumés, save search preferences and fill out applications online. Users can search by county, job type or keyword, or sign up for daily or weekly e-mail job alerts that meet their search criteria.

For employers, the Career Center provides free, unlimited résumé searches, detailed employer profiles, online applications, saved job templates and package discounts. Best of all, it allows advertisers to easily and quickly purchase job postings in EdCal via the Web site.

Another highlight is ACSA’s comprehensive professional learning events calendar. Users can view all upcoming events by date, or can search by type of event: meeting, conference, training or special event. They can also search for events specifically designed for site administrators or central office leaders.

All relevant information on ACSA’s professional learning events is available online, including brochures, registration forms, and even session handouts from past events. This includes ACSA’s Leadership Summit as well as other conferences, workshops and trainings, academies, AB 430 training, leadership coaching and management services events.

ACSA Online is also a great resource for the latest news and information from the world of education. Recent articles from EdCal and Leadership magazine are available, as well as regularly updated news alerts and videos.

Among the most timely resources on the site are materials that can be used to let lawmakers know how the state’s funding crisis is affecting public schools, including press releases, sample letters and key statistics.

ACSA’s new Web site will continue to evolve over the coming months and years, all with the goal of being a cutting-edge communications tool between ACSA, its members and the public at large.
