An upcoming ACSA workshop is designed to help school principals and district administrators get the most out of the time they spend in meetings.
“Meetings Mastery” is designed for any school leader who has ever been frustrated in dealing with meetings. It will help them save time and accomplish more with greater ease and satisfaction. In just one day, attendees will have a framework for success, proven strategies and action tools to use right away, including the following:
• The single ingredient essential to successful meetings.
• How to get results time after time.
• How to maximize the three most important relationships in any meeting.
• Value-adding fundamentals.
• How to effectively coordinate action in less meeting time.
• Approaches to tough issues, “stuck” issues, large meetings and more.
The Meetings Mastery workshop will be held on Jan. 8, 2009 in Burlingame, Jan. 22, 2009 in Sacramento, and Feb. 5, 2009 in Ontario.
Attendees will leave this workshop with renewed optimism, enthusiasm and confidence, ready to be the kind of leader who can navigate even more effectively the dynamic educational workplace of the 21st century.
In addition, ACSA provides ongoing service and support. After the workshop, attendees will be invited to participate in two conference calls to debrief a meeting, plan another or review information with the leader or other participants.
Past participants have said the following about Meetings Mastery:

“So much more than just organizing a meeting – this really provided me with tools that will help me improve as a leader, as well as invite others on my team to improve. The strategies presented are simple and can be implemented immediately.” – Stephanie Houston, superintendent.
“Very useful to organizing a meeting to get results and ownership from staff members with a clear and focused purpose. All components were relevant to my job and in building the leadership capacity of my staff.” – J. Valenzuela, principal.
