In order for Council members to travel as cost effectively as possible, ACSA asks that you make your travel arrangements at least one month prior to each scheduled Council meeting particularly if you:
- will be flying to regular Council meetings, and/or
- are authorized to stay overnight for a regular Council meeting, and/or
- are authorized to stay overnight in Ontario the night before a video conference Council meeting
ACSA will reimburse flights at the rate for Southwest Airlines fares purchased 21 or more days in advance of scheduled meetings. ACSA will not reimburse Business Select fares.
In most cases, Council members will be able to leave home, drive or fly to the Council meeting, and return home on the same day. In cases where it is not possible for members to complete their travel in one day (due to region of the state, availability of transportation options, etc.), overnight stays are approved as described in Approved Overnight Stays.
