Approved Overnight Stays

For Council members staying in Sacramento the night before a Council meeting, ACSA will reimburse the cost of the following travel expenses (with receipts as appropriate):

·                       hotel lodging for one night

·                       travel expenses associated with travel by air (see corresponding section)

·                       dinner (see Travel Expense Claim directions)

It is unusual for Council members not to be able to leave home and arrive in Sacramento on the same morning in time for the beginning of the Council meeting. However, a Council member may live in a remote area of the state such that it is not possible to make same day travel arrangements. Under these circumstances, and with prior approval of the Council President, a member may make arrangements for reimbursable hotel lodging. ACSA asks that members make reservations at the following hotels for which ACSA has special rates and which are within walking distance of the Sacramento ACSA office:
