Adult Education Administrator of the Year

Helping students achieve their goals is the mission of any educator, but watching it come to fruition is especially rewarding for those who work in adult education. For her work in doing just that, Dawn Buboltz of Chaffey JUHSD has been named ACSA’s 2011 Adult Education Administrator of the Year.

Adult education is a crucial component of California's public education system. ACSA recognizes the growing number of adults being educated through the state's public schools and the importance of this service. ACSA continues to work with other adult education organizations to create a united voice on legislative proposals to enhance adult education.

ACSA's adult educators have increased in membership and are working to raise awareness of adult education within legislative districts. These members are coordinating with other groups on these local adult education lobby days. In addition, adult education administrators are very involved in federal funding issues and lobbying Congress to ensure these funds flow to Sacramento.
