State Board of Education Meeting on Wednesday, May 10

At its meeting next month, the State Board of Education is anticipated to have a robust discussion on the state’s new accountability system; including the process it will adopt to identify the five percent lowest-performing Title 1 schools. We invite any of our members join us in lending the practitioners’ perspective on how the new California School Dashboard is playing out and any improvements the state can consider making to the new state accountability system.

If you or other administrators in your regions have feedback or would like to attend this meeting to provide testimony, please contact Martha Alvarez at malvarez@acsa.org.

ACSA's two-minute illustrated video on the new CA School Dashboard that can be used by administrators for local presentations at board meetings or meetings with stakeholders is now available in English and Spanish. Access the video on the ACSA YouTube page or at www.acsa.org/accountability.
